Privacy Policy

1. Data we process

We do not request location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or health data. The microphone is used only when you start recording; audio files are accessed only when you explicitly select them.

2. How we collect and use data

• You provide data when creating an account, creating tasks, or submitting/recording audio.
• We use account data to authenticate you and enforce user-by-user data isolation.
• We use task data and events to organize your task list and calculate the active time shown in the app.
• The audio feature sends data only after your explicit confirmation in the app. This permission applies to future submissions until you revoke it in Settings → AI for audio. We send Groq the recorded or selected audio, file name, and file type for transcription. We then send Groq the resulting transcript — which may contain personal information you spoke — to generate task suggestions.
• We do not use your data for behavioral advertising, data sales, or cross-company tracking.

3. Sharing with third parties

The transcription and task-suggestion feature uses Groq, a third-party AI service. After your specific confirmation in the app, we share with Groq the audio you recorded or selected, its file name, and file type; Groq returns the transcript. We then share the transcript with Groq to identify task suggestions. We do not send audio or a transcript to Groq when you cancel that confirmation.

We also use infrastructure providers needed to host the API and database. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or advertising networks. We require providers that process data on our behalf to use it only to provide their service and to apply protection consistent with this policy.

4. Retention and deletion

We retain account data, tasks, worklogs, and audio while your account is active or while necessary to operate the service, address incidents, and comply with applicable obligations.

When you delete a task, it no longer appears in the app, but the record and its events remain logically marked as deleted for audit purposes while the account remains active. You can delete your account in Settings by typing EXCLUIR to confirm. This irreversible action permanently removes the account, every task — including previously soft-deleted tasks — task events, audio, transcripts, and related suggestions.

5. Security

We use HTTPS, short-lived access tokens, passwords stored only as hashes, and account-level data isolation. No security measure is perfect, so please keep your password private and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

6. Your rights and choices

You can stop using the microphone and submitting audio at any time. You can also revoke permission for AI audio processing in Settings → AI for audio; this blocks future submissions to Groq. You can also delete your account directly in Settings. Subject to applicable law, you may request confirmation of processing, access, correction, sharing information, anonymization where applicable, and deletion. 7. Children

Pocket Tasker is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without any required parent or guardian involvement or authorization. Contact us if you believe a child provided data improperly.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the service or our data practices change. We will publish the revised version on this page with a new effective date. Where required, we will request additional consent.
